In 2008, Tyler graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with dual Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in Accounting and Finance. He began his accounting career with ATKG, LLC in San Antonio, TX, initially as an intern, but subsequently as a full-time member of their Tax team.  After two years of service with ATKG, Tyler joined Wenzel & Associates in 2009.

Since joining, Tyler has become an integral member of our firm, embracing a number of roles. As a tax manager, he works extensively with businesses and individuals to support and plan for a multitude of impactful financial events across a wide range of industries, including Investments, Farm & Ranch, and Oil & Gas.  As a special projects manager, he is involved with many unique client developments, including the Paycheck Protection Program, Employee Retention Tax Credit, Research & Development Tax Credit, and other tax matters requiring direct communication with the IRS. Lastly, Tyler directs many of the firm’s internal administrative operations, including Payroll, IT, and HR. He strives to provide all the firm’s stakeholders – be it fellow co-workers or the firm’s esteemed clientele – with positive, effective, and efficient service.
