Gary received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from St. Mary’s University in 1977, was licensed as a CPA in 1979, and graduated with his master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1982. His professional career includes 7 years on the tax staff of regional and national CPA firms.  In 1983 Gary became a tax partner with a local CPA firm.  In October, 1988 he created his own accounting practice, which he supervises as managing tax partner to this day.

During his career, Gary has been called upon to lecture on tax and business issues to various business organizations in the San Antonio area.  Early in his career while employed with Arthur Young, CPA’s he taught on a part time basis income tax courses at the University of Texas at San Antonio, as well as, national in-house seminars with Arthur Young.  Gary is married to Carol Wenzel, his wife of over forty years, and is the proud father of three sons and grandfather to one grandson and four granddaughters.
