Sue graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from St. Mary’s University in 1981. She worked for Arthur Young, CPA’s as an auditor from 1981 to 1985, gaining significant experience in the banking, auto, and construction industries. In 1985, Sue served as Vice President in commercial lending at Commerce Savings where she was responsible for a portfolio of loans in excess of $100,000,000. In 1993, Sue became Director of Finance for Ilex Oncology and, among other things, contributed to a successful initial public offering of the company’s corporate stock. Joining Wenzel & Associates in January, 1999, Sue now works as a tax accountant and is actively involved in the tax planning and tax preparation processes of the firm. Sue is married to Wayne Becken, her husband of nearly forty years, and is the mother of a daughter and two sons.
